Challenge:

The project dealt with Specialty/Lab Space Construction.

Solution:

Project required demolition of 20,000 SF of office space and construction of eight wet labs. A major challenge associated with this project was orchestrating the HVAC for laboratory applications. The space was not equipped with the appropriate HVAC infrastructure and therefore required 30,000 CFM of ventilation.

An additional challenge came with the review of the equipment intended to be used in the space in order to account for all of the necessary MEP / med gas connection coordination. There was no room for error with this project as labs from across the country will be locating to this location and will need to be up and running as soon as they are relocated.
